I have said before how much accomplishments are treasured here, because what other parents take for granted, I just can't. Well, this is the sight that greeted me yesterday:
JBear can RIDE A BIKE! Sorry for yelling. We tried a while back, and he just wasn't getting it. And we never replaced his bike after the house fire. Guess now he needs one. The only slightly-dim spot is that the neighbor taught him. Yes, while I sat in here on my butt, on the computer, next to J, on his computer, the next door neighbor was teaching our son how to ride his nephew's bicycle. Not gonna win any Parent of the Year Awards with that one. And in my defense..I am usually out there with him, but this time I let him go out by himself. And, hey, he is riding a bike...
There won't be any stopping him now!
T, who figures now he needs a bike
2 sent chocolate:
Go JBear, go!!! That is super.
Thanks, TMH! We are very happy, but not as happy as he is. As I write this, he is outside riding that bike.
T.
