It's Been One of THOSE Days

Anyone who ever said that life being a barrel of monkeys meant it was fun, well, I have a bone to pick with you. Do you have any idea how LOUD monkeys are?? Today is one of those days where you wonder, "WHY am I a parent?" JBear and JBean have been at each other all day. Lots of tears and screaming (and when I say screaming, I am talking air-raid-siren-quality tinged with Bonobo monkey..the kind of noise that makes your teeth itch and desire to find the nearest bridge to jump from. or maybe that's just me In any case, they have just been obnoxious to one another. Witness this exchange:

JBean: You stole my Playmobil bandana!
JBear: Did NOT. You probably lost it (as it is behind his back)
JBean: You're MEAN! You are so mean. You grow on a mean TREE!
JBear: I know you are, but what am I?
JBug: You are MEAN. You are ugly mean! I WANT MY TOY!
JBear: ok, you can have it.
JBean: ::waiting:: then: where is it?
JBear: I don't haaaaaa-aaaave it, I lied. (again, with toy behind back)
JBean: SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!
[transmission redacted], as my head explodes...

Send chocolate... please? You'll be able to find me. I'll be the one in the corner, curled into a fetal position..

T, who knows what drives some people to drink in the afternoon

How about you? How has your day been?

Rough days suck. :( I'm with ali. I want to shove them in closets sometimes.

No, not really. Not often, at least.

My kids went swinging wildly all day between drawing blood and laughing so giddily _I_ felt like drawing blood.

OMG, forget chocolate, today I'm sending Tequila!! Tomorrow's another day...another chance for bloodshed and tears.

First, love the picture. Cracked me the eff up. Second, I had the exact same day yesterday. Today, back to "normal," which means I only wanted to kill them or me once or twice. I feel ya sistah. These suckers ought to come with a set of earplugs...for the parents.

Thanks, everyone, for the support. I would love tequila! Sadly, I am too old, it doesn't love me anymore. Margarita at dinner I can do..anything else, I get SICK. So not fair...hard-to-raise kids and an aversion to alcohol...I truly got the short end of the stick.

So far, today, we have had a meltdown and screaming over wanting to play Nintendo (did I mention I HATE that thing?) and needing to eat breakfast, because nobody fed her. That's right, it's 11 am and she didn't eat. Take away my Mom Award, right now...

LOL! I thought I was the only one who felt that way! The shrill voices, the desperate need for quiet, and chocolate! Let me share my Dove bar with you!

In all the ruckus don't forget to give thanks for your family. They grow up too soon.

I'm sending you a Tito Rita...
http://www.titos-vodka.com and you can play a song on their site... "Dancing Girl" is fun.

Joy!
